award-winning washington dc-based rock band honor by august has shared the stage with artists including bon jovi, hootie & the blowfish, hanson, howie day, pat mcgee band, emerson hart (tonic), keith kane (vertical horizon), virginia coalition, ingram hill, aslyn, michael tolcher, state radio and stephen kellogg & the sixers.
honor by august has played to crowds as large as 20,000 in venues including the verizon center (dc), innsbrook pavilion (va), mcdonough arena (dc), the 9:30 club (dc), the state theater (va) and cains ballroom (ok) and fedex field (dc).
led by 23-year-old michael pearsall, honor by august is a world-class band in the making, rooted in personal, powerful songs and dynamic live performances.

- won the bon jovi- xm radio "have a nice gig" contest, beating more than 150 area bands to open for a sold-out bon jovi show at washington dcs mci center
